Jeu de Paume – Online
Unfit Bits by Tega Brain & Surya Mattu is part of the project “Futurs non conformes. #2 Passages à l’acte” for the Jeu de Paume virtual space.
Health insurance companies are starting to offer discounts to people who exercise regularly, a fact that can be verified by wearing a fitness tracker. The Unfit Bits team develops DIY spoofing techniques for connected bracelets and other wearable fitness trackers to simulate activity data without you having to share your personal data. These techniques help produce personal fitness data to qualify you for insurance rewards, whilst keeping your actual physical activity data secret.
