Fête de la musique

During an improvised concert in the hall of Jeu de Paume, saxophonist Christophe Monniot salutes Johan van der Keuken’s taste for jazz, from the most classical to the most adventurous, from Ben Webster to Willem Breuker, with a duo performance with double bass player Sarah Murcia.

A fellow traveller with Bernard Lubat and Marc Ducret, and a pillar of the group Moutin Factory, this saxophone enthusiast, endowed with a real sense of drama, engages in a dialogue with the four strings of Sarah Murcia, an audacious and rebellious musician who has worked with Magic Malik and Benoit Delbecq. Between them, a duet is established in which improvisation progresses, between happy happening and fruitful conversation.
