A series of portraits and environments: Ben, a friend of the filmmaker, and his father Oleg, a Russian emigrant who lives in an overcrowded house in Suffolk. A mysterious epicurean as seen through the photographs of his travels. Jake Williams in his dilapidated house in Bogancloch in the depths of a Scottish forest. Astika, bidding farewell to the farm where he once lived, on a Danish island. S., a septuagenarian admirer of Darwin, in an isolated region of Inverness County. And finally, Alice Hardy, the main character in the horror film Friday the 13th (1980), here re-edited by Ben Rivers in order to keep only the shots starring the heroine, played by Adrienne King.
