Fellini and the small screen

Small screen = bigger audience. This paradox of shrinking the image to TV size in order to have
access to domestic space, and therefore a mass audience, has always inspired mixed feelings in the artists who have worked in the medium.

This symposium will start with a theoretical discussion of Fellini’s love-hate relationship with television and the mass media in general, then continue with a projection of works by the guest artists, and conclude with a round table discussion.

Symposium: “Fellini and the small screen” with Sam Stourdzé, curator of the exhibition, Jean-Paul Manganaro, writer and translator, Franco La Cecla, anthropologist, Andrea Crozzoli, film critic,
and the artists Matthieu Laurette and Christian Jankowski.
