The Power of Speech: On Witness in Today’s Art

“Puissances de la parole: une réflexion sur les formes du témoignage dans l’art d’aujourd’hui” (The Power of Speech: On Witness in Today’s Art): from the democratic agora to the memorial, the
symposium will consider the increasing artistic use of verbal expression as an act of witness and look at those unique moments where voice becomes image and the image itself another voice.
