Talk
With Stan Douglas
And a signing of the exhibition catalogue
Tuesday 20 October 2026 • 6:00 PM
Jeu de Paume – Paris
On the opening day of the exhibition, Jeu de Paume is delighted to welcome Stan Douglas to the auditorium. During his talk, the artist will present the works featured in Parallax, the most significant monographic exhibition devoted to his work in France in more than 30 years.
The talk will be followed by a book signing with Stan Douglas at the bookshop.
Since the late 1980s, Stan Douglas has developed an ambitious body of work that explores how history is constructed, represented, and transmitted. Through complex narrative devices, he sheds light on the ways in which images shape our perception of reality, while revealing the social, political, and cultural tensions specific to each era.
